Local Favorites from Sandwiches to Farm to Table Eateries

Gas Full Service Restaurant

Farm to Table with a side of Southern Hospitality

There is a reason Gas has been featured on several national TV shows on the Food Network and Cooking network like Guilty Pleasures. Start things off with a cup of their award winning Coconut Curry Conch Chowder or the Ruben Rolls. For your main course Florida grown grass fed burgers are a must, other favorites include the Black and Blue Chicken Hot Brown and the daily local caught seafood specials. Finish things off with one of their house made deserts like the Burbon Bacon Pecan Pie or their adventurous Creme Brûlées made with seasonal local ingredients.

D’Aleo Deli

Killer Sandwiches and a Full Italian Deli

Without a doubt the best deli sandwiches in St Augustine with favorites with names like the Hitman and Wannabe Italian. Around since the late 80’s this off the beaten path staple is worth venturing out of the historic district. My personal favorites include the Hitman with salami sopressata, pepperoni and provolone, or the No 3 Special with buffalo mozzarella, tomatoes, olive oil and tomatoes.

Arroz Con Pollo Lunch at Mango Mangos St Augustine Beach

Mango Mangos

Where the Locals go Beachside

Want some great carribean food on the island, this is it. Great food, big portions, and small prices. Drive right past the tourist traps by the pier for this local favorite. Make sure you try the Arroz Con Pollo and the house hot sauces.
