St Augustine Lighthouse and Museum

Climb to the to enjoy the best view of St. Augustine and its barrier islands. Built as a replacement for the original Spanish lighthouse who’s ruins are close by if you can find them. Don’t skip the caretakers house portion of the museum for some great history and maybe a ghost or two.

Fountain of Youth

A great place to learn about the Spanish and Indigenous culture of St Augustine, take a sip from the famed Fountain of Youth, or stroll through several acres of beautiful grounds. Make sure you check the schedule to catch a cannon firing, and the on-site BBQ Restaurant Smoked is not your average concession stand.

Fort Matanzas

This smaller less known fort was built as a southern outpost to guard the city from attack from the south. A ferry will take you across the Matanzas river to the fort, both named after a bloody battle fought against the French.

St Augustine Alligator Farm

Opened in 1893 this historic wildlife park is wold class, featuring every species of crocodilian on earth, tons of other reptiles including Galapagos Tortoises, a huge assortment of birds and some other furry friends. There is always something new to see and learn, this is a legitimate Zoological park that is accredited and works with research originations.
